‘Just Darlin’ Skincare
Branding 2020:
Design Gameplan
I wanted to create a skincare brand of hand lotions. I thought that by doing so it would showcase my ideation and designing skills as a graphic designer and marketer. In this brand kit, I outline how the logo would look, the visual and illustrative elements, the typefaces used, and the colours used. Illustrative elements were drawn on Procreate and the rest of kit was made on Illustrator and PhotoShop. I mocked up the products in the packaging design of their bottles, and I created samples of social content. This was my earliest work of motion graphics using PhotoShop.
Identifying the Brand
I wanted to lean into a more feminine aesthetic. At this time, I was trying to find my style as a designer and illustrator. I created a mood board with a very clean, poppy, and feminine aesthetic, which largely directed the style of the ‘Just Darlin’ skincare line.
